  • Lead product Designer: Delivered and managed the user experience & user interface practice.

  • Worked closely with Trace’s CTO, Product manager and Tech Lead. to define the scope of the engagement, pipeline and product design delivery strategy.

  • 2.5 years engagement at a part time capacity: Rolling retainer of 75hs monthly.

By making carbon management as easy as possible for SMEs by using Trace’s digital platform, there have been over 1000 carbon footprints measured. At the same time, Trace has taken the complexity out of the net zero journey and enabled 300+ businesses to build a decarbonisation plan, as well as offsetting 127,185 tonnes of carbon while supporting biodiversity and conservation projects across Australia, South East Asia and the Pacific. The success and impact of Trace in Australia has seen 20% revenue growth in Q1 2024, including expansion to the UK, EU, US & Middle East.

I follow the double diamond creative process. The whole process is guided by customer activity, pain points and feedback. Agile methodologies. Research, Design, Learn, Repeat.

  • Inception phase: question and inform the product brief, set requirements, business objectives and get backing from the business to kickstart the initiative. 

  • Research & discovery: Diverging. Testing strategy. Quantitive & Qualitative. Continue to refine data findings to support design thinking.

  • Concept: Draft hypothesis and validate with customers. Test, iterate, test, etc. 

  • Define: Consolidate learnings, enhance designs. Play back to business. Get ready to roadmap.
